DORA — The Dora Bulldogs pulled off an upset of Class 4A’s No.5-ranked team in commanding fashion Friday night with a 27-13 win over Oneonta at Horace Roberts Field.
The two teams played to a scoreless first quarter.
Dora (1-1) opened the night’s scoring at the 11:52 mark of the second quarter when Kesean Pryor connected with Korion Pryor on an 8-yard scoring play. The extra point was blocked, but the Bulldogs led 6-0.
Dora scored again on a Kesean Pryor 11-yard run. The 2-point try was intercepted. The Bulldogs led 12-0 with 5:41 left in the second quarter.
The Redskins (1-1) scored just before halftime to cut the Dora lead to 12-6.
Neither team scored in the third quarter.
Kesean Pryor scored on a 22-yard run at the 11:50 mark of the fourth quarter and added the 2-point conversion to increase the Bulldogs’s lead to 20-6.
The Pryors connected again on a 12-yard passing play for a touchdown with 6:20 left in the game. The extra point increased the Dora lead to 27-6.
Oneonta added a late touchdown and extra point to cut the final deficit to 27-13.
Kesean Pryor finished the game with 267 total yards and four total touchdowns. The Dora defense held the Redskins to only 182 total yards.
Dora will open Class 4A, Region 5 play next Friday as the Bulldogs travel to Curry.
