CORDOVA – In the 99th meeting between the two teams, Dora picked up a 42-21 win over Cordova on Friday night at Hudson-Kerby Field.
Dora is now 3-3 on the year and 3-1 in Class 4A, Region 4. Cordova drops to 2-4 overall and 1-3 in region play.
Sean Pryor led Dora, rushing for 93 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries and completing 13-of-16 passes for 326 yards and two scores. Jamarcus Goodmon finished with 160 yards and four scores, three on the ground and one catch for a touchdown.
Goodmon scored his first touchdown on a one yard run early in the first quarter. Riley Willingham converted the first of six extra points to give Dora a 7-0. Pryor scored on a short run to increase the lead to 14-0 at the end of the first quarter.
Goodman added another touchdown just before halftime. Dora led 21-0 at the half. The Bulldogs held the Blue Devils to 69 total yards in the first half.
Sean Pryor connected with his brother Kori Pryor for a 66-yard touchdown to give Dora a 28-0 lead only minutes into the second half. After holding Cordova on a fourth down play, Dora scored three plays later when Pryor hit Goodmon on a 21 yard swing pass to extend the lead to 35-0.
Cordova got on the board late in the third quarter when Cody Headrick connected with Jalen Armistad on a 26 yard pass. The PAT failed leaving the score at 35-6.
Goodman added another touchdown for Dora to give the Bulldogs a 42-6 advantage after three quarters.
Cordova managed two touchdowns in the fourth quarter, taking advantage of turnovers by the Bulldogs.
Headrick finished 11-of-26 passing for 112 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran for a score.
Dora will host Hamilton in a region game next week, while Cordova will travel to Northside.
